1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether personally or on behalf of an entity, “Customer”, “you”) and Hiretea (“we”, “us”, or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the Hiretea application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating a workspace, registering an account, or accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Service and must discontinue use immediately.
2. The Service
Hiretea provides an end-to-end technical hiring system encompassing transparent job application boards, candidate stage pipelines, Git-native repository challenges, sandboxed code execution runners, AI-assisted candidate fit evaluations, and built-in live WebRTC video conferencing. The Service is provided as a hosted, cloud-based platform that is managed and maintained by us.
3. Workspaces & Accounts
To manage candidate pipelines, you must create an organization workspace and an administrative account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and API tokens. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or workspace.
External candidates and guest interviewers accessing public application forms or live video interview rooms are not required to create a workspace account, but are subject to our Acceptable Use standards set forth herein.
4. Subscriptions, Payments & Merchant of Record
Payment Processing Notice: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing, tax collection, invoicing, and currency conversions for Hiretea subscriptions.
Paid workspace subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis depending on your selected cadence. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled prior to the renewal date via your workspace billing dashboard.
Metered usage (such as runner execution minutes or storage consumed beyond plan limits) is billed in arrears according to published unit rates or deducted from authorized monthly budgets.
5. Acceptable Use & Code Runner Limits
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent purpose. You must not:
- Attempt to break out of sandboxed Docker/runner environments or tamper with host infrastructure.
- Use automated code execution runners for cryptocurrency mining, denial-of-service attacks, or malicious payload execution.
- Scrape or extract candidate information without legitimate hiring consent.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or unlawfully copy proprietary platform components.
6. Live Video Conferences & Remote Interviews
Hiretea provides real-time WebRTC audio-video rooms (“Hiretea Live”). You acknowledge and agree that:
- Sessions are encrypted in transit via standard WebRTC encryption protocols (DTLS/SRTP).
- If you record or transcribe a live interview session, you are solely responsible for providing prior legal notice to, and obtaining all necessary consents from, all participating interviewers and candidates in accordance with applicable wiretapping and privacy laws.
7. Artificial Intelligence & Automated Reviews
Our platform includes AI features designed to summarize candidate submissions, analyze fit against job requirements, and assist with rubric evaluations. All AI evaluations are strictly advisory. Final decisions regarding candidate progression, rejection, and hiring offers are made solely by human operators (“Human-in-the-loop”).
8. Intellectual Property & Data Ownership
You retain full ownership of all candidate records, job postings, company trademarks, proprietary test questions, and challenge repositories uploaded to your workspace. We retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Hiretea platform, software code, algorithms, and design systems.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hiretea and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or recruitment opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
